Frequently Asked Questions

Is it necessary to put sleep suit on for baby?

No, it is not always necessary to use a sleep suit (or sleep sack) for a baby, but it is strongly recommended for safety and consistency.

Here is a brief summary of why the sleep suit is beneficial and when it becomes essential:

  • Safety Priority: Sleep suits are the safest alternative to loose blankets, which pose a suffocation risk and are therefore not recommended for infants. The wearable design ensures the material stays away from the baby's face.
  • Temperature Management: A sleep suit is crucial for regulating the baby's temperature throughout the night. By choosing the correct TOG rating (thermal grade), you ensure your baby stays warm without overheating, regardless of room temperature fluctuations.
  • When It's Essential: The sleep suit becomes non-negotiable when you need a safe alternative to swaddling (usually when the baby starts rolling over, around 3-6 months) and until your toddler successfully transitions to a loose blanket (often around 18 months to 3 years old).

In short, while technically a baby can sleep in pajamas alone, a sleep suit is the safest, most consistent, and highly recommended way to dress them for sleep.

What is baby sleep suit? What is the sleep suit for toddler?

A baby sleep suit, often called a wearable blanket or sleep walker, is a safe, blanket-style garment designed for infants and toddlers to wear during sleep.

Key Features and Purpose

  • Safety: It replaces loose blankets in the crib, eliminating the risk of suffocation or entanglement, which aligns with safe sleep guidelines.
  • Design: Unlike a traditional sleep sack (which is a bag), a sleep suit features separate legs (often footed or with ribbed cuffs). This allows toddlers to stand, walk safely, and move freely in their crib or when transitioning to a big-kid bed.
  • Function: It is crucial for temperature regulation. By choosing the appropriate TOG rating (thermal grade), parents can ensure the child stays consistently warm without overheating, leading to more secure and uninterrupted sleep.
What materials we use for sleep suits?
  • Outer fabric: 50% bamboo fiber, 50% cotton

Bamboo is a fast-grown natural material whose cultivation is sustainable and eco-friendly. It also offers breathability, outstanding moisture-wicking ability, as well as proven anti-bacterial property.

  • Lining: 90% cotton, 10% merino wool

We want only the best for our children. The additional merino wool in the lining has a natural thermal regulating property, benefiting your baby's sleep with even more warmth and comfort.

  • Filling: 79% polyester, 21% viscose

TEMPSENSE fiber as filling which contains micro phase changing materials to achieve thermo regulating using the baby's own body heat.

What is TOG and What TOG should I choose?
  • The tog is a measure of thermal insulance of a unit area, also known as thermal resistance. A higher TOG rating means a warmer sleeping bag, so fewer layers are needed underneath.
  • Our 0.5 TOG sleeping suits are excellently suited for high summer (from 23°C).
  • The 1.0 TOG sleeping suits are perfect for warm temperatures (21-24°C).
  • Our lightly padded 1.5 TOG sleeping suits are suitable for year-round use, depending on room temperature (19-22°C).
  • The thicker 2.5 TOG sleeping suits are good for season change when the room temperature is between 15°C and 20 °C.
  • Our extra-thick 3.5 TOG sleeping suits are ideal for winter temperatures between 10-16°C.
